MAORI LAND COURT

At a special sitting of a Maori Land Court at Taihape yesterday, presided over by Judge Browne, the natives appealed to have certain land partitions cancelled, enabling them to partitiolf so that a block of about 8500 acres could be presented to the Government. ,on which to settle returned soldiers,, but more immediately to enable a portion of the land to be fenced toCsrrry 400 head of cattle which Taranaki natives had given to help the returned men in stocking their land.
