ASIAGO PLATEAU BATTLE CONTINUES.
LONDON, December 7,
Italian official.—A battle continues on the Asiago Plateau. Artillery prevented an advance of the enemy s masses, enabling a withdrawal from the Mclette salient. Machine gun fire drove back the enemy in disorder in the Frenzela Valley. The enemy attempted to break through with large forces southward of Gallic. Our resistance enabled us to link up the line, arresting the enemy’s advance at Monte Sisemol after repulsing six assaults.
