Congress has been asked to vote five million dollars for relief of the sufferers, OTTAWA, December 8. Sir R. Borden has placed, the whole resources of the Federal Government at the disposal of the Halifax municipal authorities. The property loss is estimated at six milions sterling. Four thousand dwellings were demolished and twenty thousand people have been rendered destitute. / The death roll at Halifax is now estimated at 4,000 The bodies of 200 sailors and ivorkmen were recovered from the waterfront. Blizzard weather continues.
