THREE STARS
The raciest and cleverest tale seen on the screen for a long time is told Three Stars to-night. Peggy Hyland is the star and she is most seductive and charming She is an American danseuse who is persauded to make a trip to Constantinople. There a Turk falls in love with her, and inveigles her into 'his harem. After a series of attempts she escapes, only to find when she gets to New York, that her Oriental lover has followed her, She finds that her peril is very real, for the Turk has no regard for the law, and will risk anything to further his schemes. It is only after thrilling adventures that she manages to elude him and get clear away to marry the young reporter who has captured her heart. The latter role is taken by George North and is a very clever piece of acting The scenes in New York are fine, but the interior of the harem is a most wonderful feat in artistic photography, the setting being gorgeous and magnificent in the extreme. Petrograd, Constantinople, and New York all figure in the scenes of "The Sixteenth Wife," The interior of a harem as it really is, will be seen in "The Sixteenth Wife," where there are several scenes of Oriental, splendour and luxury, showing this part of a Turkish potentate's establishment in all its detail.
