TROTSKY'S PECULIAR ACTION. Received 8.50. LONDON, Dec 7. Telegrams from Geneva state the Russian revolutionaries assert that Trotsky has transferred a million roubles from the Deutsche bank Berlin, where' Lenin has deposited large sums. BOLSHEVIK GOVERNMENT NOT RECOGNISED. BY UKRANIAN REPUBLIC. N TROTSKY’S CHIMERICAL IDEAS. Received 8.50. * PETROGRAD, Dec 7. The Ukraine Republic ignores the armistice communique, because it floes not recognise the Bolshevik Government. ~ The Ukraine secretariat is negotiating for the formation of a new Russian Government. Trotsky’s programme is based -«on the belief that the whole European proletariat will insist within the next few weeks on the! conclusion of a general peace. He indicates his perfect confidence in the near approach of simultaneous outbursts of pacificism, before which all thrones and all Powyield.
THE RUSSIAN ELECTIONS. GOVERNMENTAL EXTRAVAGANZA Received 10.50. LONDON, Dec 7. The Daily News’ Petrograd correspondent states the electors thus far show that the Bolsheviks polled 2,700,000, Cadets 2,230,000, Socialists and Revolutionists 2,221,000. ’ Owing to the doubtful victory Lenin presented a Bill in the Soviet conferring on electors the right to withdraw' members from all elective institutions, including the Constituent Assembly, at any time. Apparently, the right to recall members and replace them by others is in the hands of local Soviets. Trotsky stated that if the Assembly has a Cadet majority it must be dispersed at the bayonet point.
RUSSIANS IN PERSIA. COPENHAGEN, Dec 6. The Russian Legation at Teheran telegraphs that the Caucasian administration and the army command are opposed to the Bolsheviks. A Rusis negotiating with the British Legation at Teheran for Continuation of the war against the Turks, but the Caucasians need financial help. ROME, Dec 6. A telegram from Petrograd mentions the revival of Nihilism in Russia against the Maximalists. RUSSIAN TREACHERY. LONDON, Dec 6. Mr Bonar Law stated that munitions and guns which w r e sent to Russia had been used against us and our Allies. He declined to make as to the steps the Government v/as’flaking to increase man power on the front, in view of the release of enemy troops from the' Russian front..
