ROUMANIANS AS FIGHTERS.

TWO DIVISIONS DEFEAT TEN. FREMANTLE, November 22 Lieut. Frank Lcfroy, son of The Premier of West Australia, has just returned from Russia, and states that the Roumanian army has done some wonderful fighting—equal to anything done by any army in the world. At a place called Marashesti, two Roumanian divisions met ten German divisions, and gave them a tremendous beating. The Roumanians are weak numerically, but of fine quality. Questioned as to his impressions of the various en?ro/ Hoops of which he had had expedience, Lieut. Lefroy, ranked the German an easy first as a j fighting man. Without German stiffen- | mg, the xVustrians, he said, would give themselves up as prisoners any time, and on their own were incapable of any big effort. The Bulgarians were fighters, but they, too, gained the stiffening process.
