RANGITIKEI A. AND P. ASSOCAIPTION.
A meeting of the General Committee of the Rangitikei A. and P. Association was held last week when the following were present: Messrs. Oldham (chair), Fannin, Goodrich, Doole, J. Anderson, F. Anderson, T. Bradley, Hintz and Addis. The schedule for the coming show as altered by the Schedule Committee was adopted with a few minor alterations. Messrs. Fannin, E. Anderson, Doole and Hintz, were appointed a Committee to canvas for entries for the Sheep Section. In this connection it may be stated that a £lO 10s Challenge Cup has been presented by tne Auctioneer’s Association for a Special (?lass in the Farmers’ Section. The class is: Best 5 Flock Ewes, Romney or Romney Gross suitable for breeding purposes. This will makcj two very handsome cups which are for competition among local farmers and the committee will feel disappointed if those eligible to compete fail to come for ward.
The matter of a supply of green-fed for the Show was discussed an~ held over till the next meeting in thq meantime members were to ascertain where it would most probably be available. The Committee (would doe glad if anyone likely to be able to assist in this direction would communicate with the Secretary. The matter of' replacing members of the committee who fail to attend the meeting was discussed and held over to the next meeting to be held on the sth December, when it is hoped that there will be a full attendance.
