FIRES.

ANOTHER BOARDINGHOUSE. BURNED. GGORE, November 20. _, A fire occurred early this morning in a wooden boardinghouse of 21 rooms situated at East Gore, occupied by Mrs. Stenhouse. The building was practically destroyed. The origin of the fire is a mystery but it is believed to have been caused by'rats. The ownei Mi. <T. Speden, and the occupier are heavj losers. There is an insurance on the building of £350, a'nd on the furniture £3OO.

STILL ANOTHER OUTBREAK. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 20. Shortly after midnight another fire was discovered in Coker’s Hotel. The bedding of a bedroom was alight, but the outbreak was quickly overcome. On the departure of the Eire Brigade, members of the Police Force took the building under their care.
