A BUILDER DROWNED. AUCKLAND, November 16. . A builder named William Gardener was drowned in the Waikato River, at Mercer,, through the capsizing of a launch. COURT-MARTIAL. AUCKLAND, Nov. 16. Harold Wright, was found guilty to court-martial to-day for refusing to parade for medical examination when ordered to do so. The officer commanding the group gave evidence that he gave the order personally, the accused saying in a courteous and straightforward manner that he would not attend. The accused stated that he was a member of the Society of Friends, and objected to service.
