AWARUA RIDINGS The annual elections for Councillors for the Rangitikei County Council were held yesterday. Throughout the Awarua Riding considerable interest was manifested, but a good number of farmers were unable to get in to the polling booths, owing to pressing work on the farms, such as shearing, drilling, etc. For the Awarua Riding there was a close contest, only eleven v otes separating Messrs Gibbs and Wheeler.
