Reuter’s-correspondent at the Egyptian headquarters, writing on Tuesday, says: There has been severe fighting in the vicinity of Wadi Sikarier since yesterday, the enemy rearguard- putting up a desperate resistance. There has been fighting along a considerable front. According to the latest reports, our men have been an important advance, bringing them within seven miles of Eamleh, which is the centre of the Turkish position. Our left has pushed across the Wadi Euhim, occupying the important hamlet of YaniTurks arc offering a stubborn resist- . ancc in front of our right and centre, which nevertheless have gained considerable ground. Prisoners total over six thousand while 90 guns have been captured.
