MR WEBB WILL STAND. GREYMOUTH, Nov 15. In complance with a request from the Labour party Mr P. C. Webb has definitely announced his candidature for the Grey seat_ Speaking in the Opera House last night, he said he stood the avowed enemy of the Government, whom he invited to come to the electorate and help to vote him out. He hoped the election would not be conducted on a “win the war” cry, but as a test of aproval or otherwise of the National Government’s policy, the cost of living and war measures particularly.
