THE AIR AND ITALIAN SITUATION. ME. BONAE-LAW'S OPINION. Received 5.40. LONDON, Nov. 8. Mr. Bonar' Law, speaking at Manchester, said: "We did more damage by our air raids to the enemy in September than he has done by all the H raids in England, since the beginning -of the war. More has been done in bombing German towns than the public realised. He believed the Italians would be able to stop the Germans till the French troops arrived. If we obtained, the battle-front from the Channel to the Adriatic the Italian reverse might have some advantage. GERMANY'S LOSSES AND RESERVES. ; Received 8.40. WASHINGTON, Nov. 8/ ' Reports from Switzerland state that Germany has lost an average of 120,000 men annually, and this number has at least been equalled in 1918. The German reserves are only 1,500,000 including youths of the 1020 class. CONDUCT OF THE WAR. COMPLETE UNITY OF ACTION. Received 10.5. PARIS, Nov 8. r M. Barthou has announced that a' Commission will consider what measkriires- are to he taken to arrive at an Wit' Agreement amongst the Allies so as to realise complete unity of action for vigorous direction of. the war.
