JAP-AMERICAN TREATY. SIGNED BY AMERICA. Received 8.45. PEKING; Nov 6. The Japanese Minister has informed the Chinese Foreign Office that' Mr Lansing and Count Ishii have signed a treaty in which the United States recognises Japan's special interest in China, and reaffirming the open door policy.
