Mr W. J. White, jun., who went away with the 25th Reinforcements, has been wounded in action. Mr. W J.i White, senior., the Taihapc draper, received ja cable last night jhta/ting that his son had been wounded severely in the ankle. Seeing the terrible deathtrap our men had the mis fortune to fall into, it may be considered fortunate that Mr. White did not meet a worse fate. < A severe ankle wound will in all probability unfit MWhite for further military service. This cable is the first nows of the 25th Reinforcements being i„ action; it was believed that they were still in England.
