AMUSEMENTS

THREE STARS Lilian Walker makes a bonnie Scotch lassie in "Kitty Mackay," the delicious Greater Vita graph drama to be screened at the Three Stars for tonight only. She dances a fine Scotch reel close to the camera's eye, cracks a succession of perfectly delightful Scotch jokes, and frolics and dimples through the story until the tragic moment arrives when she thinks that her life is to end in dismal heartbreak. Sadly she returns to slavery after her ] ilgrimage to the homes of the rich r.nd great, and in these scenes her acting rises to great heights. However, the story has a glorious ending, and we find everybody supremely happy as the end apears on the screen. The plot is an original one, taken from the play of the same name which had such a unique English and American rim at leading theatres, and the cast is . a powerful one. C. Kent, as the old lord on whose shoulders is the responsibility for so much suffering, does fine work, and Jewel Hunt, as Kitty's Scotch chum, is perfect. There are plenty of fine dresses in the London scenes, and the Scotch costumes are correct in every detail. Supporting this picture will be shown a subject of extreme interest at the present moment. America our new ally, preparing for war. This film is 2000 feet long, and wherever shown has been greeted by a packed house. '' Women and Wine,'' a superb drama, will be shown to-morrow night.
