ENGINEER'S REPORT. The engineer's report for October to the Rangitikci Comity Council is as follows: Tokapua Riding. Being a fine month, most of the slips have been cleared away and roads are in fair order. Gravelling contractor has com menced work on Pukemapou Road, 175 cubic yards of Ohingaiti Ballast has been delivered in depot at Mataroa, and is being carted out to repair Murray's track. Fair progress has been made with formation contracts on OTaihape Valley Road. Av.-arua Riding. —Scarcity of labour is still delaying the clearing of roads in this riding. However, the main lines are open, and in fair order. Work of erection of Too. Toe Bridge has been commenced with three men. 75 eublic yards Ohingaiti Ballast has been delivered at Taihape for Wainui Road, and 60 cubic yards is now being delivered at Utiku for road repairs. With completion of this the pit will again be closed. Erewhon Riding. —Roads generally are in good order.
