A CORRECTION.

To the Editor. Sir, —May I correct a slight error in ycur able leading article in last night’s issue of the “Times.” You state that “Baby Week” is being held for the purpose of raising funds for the Society. This is not so. The object of “Baby Week” is to educate and arouse the public to an appreciation of the vital importance of saving infant life. Most of the functions to be held by this Society this week are free or at most a nominal charge is being made. It is only hoped to raise a sufficient sum to defray the expenses of printing ) advertising, etc., without encroaching .on the funds of the Society, and not to augment the funds.' Thanking you in anticipation for inserting this correction.—l am, etc., i . E.‘ ARROWSMITH,.'— Hon. Sec. Taihape BVanch of, the ~ Plunket Society.. -■ : ■
