DOMINION SCOUTS.

TAIHAPE TROOP. The Taihape Boy Scouts, under Scoutmasters Swindells and Strong, had a most enjoyable route march on Saturday last, Leaving Taihape at 9.30 a.m., and arriving home about G. 15 p.m. The route was out Moawhango Eoad to Wainui junction, then to the left past Opaea and Prouse's Mill to Ngawaka, and home by the Mataroa Road, A rather severe shower, was experienced by the way, but by the timely, arrival at an old shed, shelter was secured, where all clothes were removed and thoroughly dried. Some good scout-work was done, and the boys arrive home tired, but cheerful. Considering the diminutive, size of some of the boys, they stood up to it very well indeed. On arrival home Mr W. McLennan treated the boys to light refreshments, and so ended a. very instructive and pleasant day.

Miss Wilson, District Secretary and Scoutmistress of the Matron troop has donated a silver medal for a shooting competition among the Taihape troop*
