NURSES’ MEMORIAL CONCERT.

The concert in aid of the Nurses* Memorial Fund is being held in the Taihape Totvn Hall to-morrow evening, a most apropriate date, the anniversary of the “Marqu.ette” disaster, in the Mediterranean when many ladies from New Zealand were being taken to the seat of war as nurses programme, if it contained no other items than those contributed by Mr John Prouse, it would be worth coming a few miles to hear. Mr Prouse will sing two of his favourites, “The Two Grenadiers” and the “Queen of Connemara.” Mrs. Loughnan will sing “An Old Romance,” nothing further need be said about it. There is quite a number of new performers j some of whom are said to be excellent platform singers. The second half of the programme will be taken by the Taihape Pierrots, who will keep the fun going at a lively pace for the last hour. Mrs G. Plummer is the accompanist, whose ability as such has been fully proved. The concert is to-morrow evening.
