■ The official opening of the Taihape Tennis Courts took place yesterday afternoon. In the absence of the president, Mr. H. A. O ’Callaghan, the senior vice-president, Mr. P. E. O ’Donnell, promise to be valuable acquisitions to the playing membership of the club. Afternoon tea’ was provided by the lady members and was a large factor towards the enjoyment of the afternoon.
