THE ITALIAN FRONT. AUSTRO-GERMAN REINFORCEMENTS. Received 9.40. WASHINGTON, Oct 18. Despatches from Rome state that the Austro-Germans were compelled to withdraw forty divisions from the Eastern front to reinforce Austrian troops, on the Italian front. Already Turkish, and Bulgarian troops have been sent to the Italian front, but Austria appealed to Germany for additional reinforcements.
