It is ascertained what particular article the wounded men have lost, and then it is replaced by medium of Father Christmas. Any contribution, however small, is acceptable, whether it be the penny of the school children or the pound of the "well-to-do," to help in giving the wounded men as they lie in their beds at the festive season.
