According to a Berlin telegram, when reveiwing the troops on the Western front on Juno 21 the Kaiser made a speech, in the course of which he said: "I express to the troops gathered hero my fullest appreciation of their conduct. I am especially delighted to be able once more to congratulate my well-tried Dragoon Regiment of Bayreuth, of Hohenfriedberg fame. When, in the late summer of 1916, I sent the Borcclcc squadron to Rumania, I gave ii on tne way ray order to maintain at all costs the old traditions wherever it might bo, and to gain fresh laurels if possible. The regiment fuelled the expectations of its Supreme "War Lord, and accomplished deeds, which will please Old Fritz up there in the Elysian Fields. May it remain so.
