HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. WELLINGTON, Oct 15. The Department of Commerce has received the following cablegrams from London: Meat. —Home-killed mutton and beef are in fair supply. There are small supplies of Dutch mutton and beef, chilled, at the market during this week selling at comparatively low prices owing to (mutilated word here), mutton, Bj|d and Hid. beef very low quality, 6d. All descriptions of frozen meat are in small gupply. New Zeaand mutton, per lb B|d* ewe mutton B£d; Argentine mutton* Hid; New Zealand lamb ? lOd; Argentine lamb, Hid; Patagonian, 10dJ] Argentine chilled beef, hinds Hid* fores 9|d. Butter. —Butter is very scarce. No official quotations, with the exception of Paris 230 s to 2355, Argentine 2065« Maximum prices remain unchanged with the exception of Irish creamery 224 s for bulk, and rising a s high ad 242 s 8d for half-pound packets. , Cheese.—Market continues firm* New Zealand, States Flats, and Aus« tralian at Government price; English Cheddar, 1375. Hemp.—Market remains as last re* ported. New Zealand, business doing on account of freight difflcSitSft Manila output for two weeks ending October 6, bales. Wheat. —Market steady at previous quotations. Oats. —Spot market Is steady al official quotations.
