GUYNEMER AVENGED. PARIS, Oct 15. Lieutenant Fonck (comrade of Lieut. Guynemer, who was killed after he had brought down over 50 enemy 'planes, avenged the latter's death on September 30, when he shot down Wissman, the German who downed Guynemer. Fonck escaped the German's first rush by clever manoeuvring, got behind them, and shot Wissman in the head. The latter fell, and his observer was also killed. SUCCESSFUL IRISH RAIDS. ENEMY ARTILLERY ON YPRES. Received 10.15. LONDON, October 16. Sir Douglas Haig reports that the Irish troops made a successful raid northwestward of Bulleeourt. There was considerable hostile artillery fire during night in the neighbourhood of the Ypres-Standan railway BRITAIN'S IMPORTS AND EXPORTS. LONDON, Oct 15. Imports during September increased £8,859,485, and exports decreased £233,483, Re-exports decreased £3 ? - 962,161 compared with the previous September. CLOTHING RESTRICTIONS. AMSTERDAM Oct 15. Coastal steamer, Awahou, has been delayed since 10 o'clock last night for deck hands, they having left' after giving 25 hours notice, without giving any reason. So far the agents have been unable to fill their places. The Awahou is a vessel having only one seaman on watch at sea.
