AUSTRIAN ATTACK BROKEN BY ITALIANS. LONDON, Oct 15. An Italian official message says: We completely broke an attack near Lokovac preceded by lavish artillery fire from Plondar, on the Carso Plateau, to the sea. . GREAT AUSTRIAN OFFENSIVE. COMING. LONDON, October 16. Mr Jefferics, at the Italian headquarters writes: There arc prospects of the fiercest fighting that has yet taken ilace on the Bainsizze plateau. Enemy's artillery fire is heavy and more distributed, and the reinforcements of the Austrians from the Russian front more intense. Airmen report that the roads are filled with troops and material. The Austrians are also reinforcing the Isonso from Trcntino. The total reinforcements .since August are probably 100,000 doubling those previously.
