GRAND CONCERT.

LABOUR DAY NIGHT. ■ i The public of Taihape will be given the opportunity ,on Monday, 22nd October, of being present at one of the best concerts yet held in Taihape. The items will all be of exceptional merit, as would be expected from the artists appearing. A Taihape audience will have the opportunity of hearing for the first time, Miss Teresa McEnroe, the most popular soprano of Wellington, as a singer of Irish songs and ballads, Miss McEnroe has no equal in the Dominion. Miss Mary McKeowen, also well-known to Wellington will appear. Miss McKeowen has previously sung in Taihape with much success. Mrs R. J. Loughnan's merits are well known and popular with Taihape concert-goers. Miss Kathleen Blomfield has delighted Taihape audiences with her artistic dancing, and by special request will on this occasion dance the Irish Jig. Miss Olive Wallace has not appeared before a local audience, but comes with a good reputation as a musical monologuist from Dunedin. Mr Shanley, the celebrated 'cellist of Wanganui, is alone worth the charge of admission, and he also possesses a tenor voice of rare quality. Mr Stevens is well known and popular with the public of thi s district, and needs no recommendation from us. Mr J. Wham and Mr Stan. Peyton, the well-known local artists, will provide humorous items, which are a necessity on all concert programmes. Miss Mary Fuller, a pupil of Professor; Lorraine, wiil be a popular artist appearing and will establish herself as a favourite. Miss Fuller has consented to stop over at Taihape oh her way to Auckland. Mr E. J Barry and Mr T. Ireland of Ohakune, and Mrs Dowling, of Wellington, will also appear. The duties of acompanist will be carried out by Mrs Stanley Peyton, who has kindly given her services in this direction.
