“CUR DAY” CONCERT.

NEW AND THRILLING PROGRAMME. The Red Cross Concert, on the evening of “Our Day ? ” is to provide entertainment on a scale and of a quality never before attempted in Taihape “The Follies” have a repertoire of humorous sketches and songs of a quality that is not excelled in large well-known companies Their dances are a strong feature, they are of a daintiness rarely surpassed by any body of professionals. Dress rehearsals have been so successful that they really constitute a programme of themselves and worth all the money that will be charged for the great, combined galaxy of talent. Another leading feature on the programme is the arrangement with that great prestidigitator, Professor Delvine. This exponent of legerdemain has electrified and mystified packed audiences in the leading cities of the world; it is Taihape’s good fortune to have secured his assistance. No one should miss seeing and hearing the giantess soprano in the comic heights to which her amazing voice soars. It was a question whether a little of the roof of the Town Hall would not have to be temporarily raised, but, luckily, that difficulty is overcome. The fairylike dancing in the various ballets, the gavottes and the minuets which intersperse the programme are delightfully enchanting. This on “Our Day”—Red Cross Day—on Thursday, the 18th of this month.
