LADIES' GUILD.
A meeting of stall-holders was held at the Vicarage on Wednesday, the Rev. F. W. Stent presiding.
The balance-sheet of the late bazaar was read, showing a credit balance of £248 17s 3d. The amounts taken at the various stalls were:—Fancy work, £SO; surprise bags, £39 8s; plain work, £4O 4s; refreshment and cake stall, £2l 5s 6d; sweets £2l 0s Id; variety stall £22 3s lOd; proceeds from bulb show, £8 19s 6d; inkstand competition £1 17s 6d. Donations: Mrs R. £'. Totman, £5 ss; Mr Studholme, £lO.
Accounts amounting to £l4 8s were passed for payment. The annual meeting of the Guild will be held at the Vicarage on Wednesday next, 10th inst, at 3 p.m:, when all the ladies who are members of the Church are invited to attend so that the Ladies' Guild may commence their new year with a large number of representatives of the Church.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair.
Following are the complete results lof the various competitions at the late bazaar:—Canvas cushion, G. E. Anderson; coat and bonnet A. McLean; silver teapot, A. Foster; military brushes, Mr Hintz; trousseau, Dr. Mae Diarmid; fruit cake, Mrs. Stent; fruit cake weight-guessing, E. Loader; box chocolates, Mrs Joblin; eiderdown quilt, Miss Foster; oil painting and table centres, Messrs Hintz and Bird; crepe de chine camisole, Mrs Saunders; thermos flask, Mrs Smith; crochet bag, Mrs Shand; blouse box, Miss B. Smith; picTure, Mrs Owens; cushion, Miss Bason; wristlet watch. Miss Sexton; inkstand, Mrs Milne.
