, RUSSIA WILL WAGE WAR WITH INCREASED STRENTGH NO SEPARATE PEACE Received 11.25 WASHINGTON, Sept. 19. M. Bakmatieff will officially report to America on the Russian situation pointing out that there is no danger of a separate peace. Russia will wage war with increas;dstrength KALEDIN’S MUTINY. PETROGRAD, September 18. The arrest of generals and other of Korniloff”s supporters continues everywhere. The Cossack Military Administration telegraphed to the Government “Kaledin is ready to submit, but demands the repeal of the order of arrest and trial. ’ ’ Other reports state that General Kaledin continues his agitation, concentrating Cossacks on the road to Petrograd. The directory only holds office until the Soviet’s democratic conference, which will decide the new form of Government. , The chief task of the directory is to organise authority and to settle General Kaledin’s mutiny. M. Kerensky remains at headquarters, while the Commander-in-Chief’s and all the Cabinet councils are held at headquarters. KERENSKY TAKING .STRONG MEASUEEBMINOR DISORDERS QUELLED. LONDON, Sept. 19. The Russian Embassy, in a statement through Reuter, states that General Kerensky has taken all measures to prevent /the Irebellipn interfering with the re-establishment of the fighting powder of the army. General Alexieff, who is the most authoritative Russian General, has been entrusted "with the immediate direction of the military operations and the reorganisation of the army. There is every reason to believe that all the minor disorders will cease. All separ ate cases of insubordination are being successfully handled. THE NEW REPUBLIC. PETROGRAD, Sept. 18. The Government considers the proclamation of the Republic to be formal, and does not intend to establish a Republican administration before a constituent, assembly is established. THE VIBORG DISTURBANCES. RUSSIAN OFFICERS SUFFER HEAVILY. LONDON, Sept. IS. During the recent disturbances at Viborg, twenty-two Russian officers were killed, and sixty are missing. A RUSSIAN DENIAL. WASHINGTON, Sept. 19. The Russian Embassy denies that the Maximalists and other Radical parties favour a separate peace.
