A Jassy despatch to the Herald states there is bitter animosity between th e Prussians and Bavarians, who must be separated when prisonered. When the Germens were prisonered at the battle of the Sereth, the Bavarians pointing to the' Prussians, shouted to their Roumanian captors: ‘‘Kill these Prussian dogs; they’re continuing the war to ruin us!” A fierce melee followed, during which several w r ere injured. GERMANY WANTS DURABLE PEACE. Received 8.45. NEW YORK, Sept 7. A Berlin telegram states that “Vorwaerts” says Germany will reply to the Pope ? stating the German people do not want to gain from the war, but desire a durable peace, guaranteed by international treaties.
