AMUSEMENTS.

THREE STARS The principal picture on the programme at the Three Stars to-night is a wonderful “Nordisk” drama “Madame D e Thebes, ” Miss Tregana Wethergren who has been justly called “the Norwegian Sarah Bernhardt” takes leading part in this picture which provides ample oportunity for the display of her wonderful histronie ability. The story proceeds sensationally, and the love of a true woman provides the human thread which binds the whole together. 'A magnificent play, superbly acted. Among the supporting subjects a picture showing the race for the Auckland Cup deserves more than passing notice. The photography is very clear and there are splendid views of the lawn. Altogether the programme is one of the most enjoyable that has been shown at this theatre.
