KERENSKY v. KORNILOFF. LONDON, August 29. At r. Wilton further states that Kerensky shirked an interview with Kornilotf on Sunday. There is mucii talk about the conflict between Korniloff and Kerensky over the departure of Savinkoff. Korniloff insists that Savinkoff must remain in charge of the War Office; on the other hand Kerensky has adopted such a tone towards Savinkoff that the latter was compelled to resign. These disagreements were closely connected yith impending army reforms. Alexieff, as spokesman of the Officers’ League, announced that he has determined to speak without fear regarding the army. NO JAPS. FOR RUSSIA. LONDON, August 28. Groundless reports have been circulator in Paris, that Japanese troops will soon arrive on the Russian front. It is believed that they are of enemy origin, but it is, difficult to sec the object. Apparently the enemy hoped- to cause disappointment when it was discovered that the ..reports were untrue, and possibly to cause dissension among the Allies regarding the part each is playing in the war.
