GERMANY'S TROUBLES.
ANOTHER POLITICAL CRISIS FORESHADOWED MICHAELIS' DOUBLE "DEALING. Received 8.35, LONDON, August 24 The Daily Telegraph's Rotterdam's correspondent says a fresh political crisis in Germany threatens Dr Michaelis' position'. The majority which passed the peace resolution in July •have denounced him as an adherent of the annexationists. The fact, is that Michaelis is playing a double game, and now explains the Reichtsag peace formula a s ambiguous, and that he never absolutely adopted it. The Re'ichstag majority is furious and conferred with Michaelis on Wednesday night in secret, but the newspapers next morning warned him he had better change his attitude. Some plainly tell Michaelis that the Reichstag, has been tricked, and in any case war between the Chancellor and the Reichstag majority seems inevitable.

BRITAIN THREE MONTHS TOO LATE. Received 8.35. LONDON, August 24. A Greek paper discloses that Germany concluded an alliance with Turkey a few hours before Britain declared war. The Times points out that Britain negotiated with Turkey three months after the latter was Germany's sworn" ally.
