We carried positions southeast of Dossofaite. We have prisonered 16.000 men and 350 officers up till yesterday. Our aeroplanes and airships dropped twelve tons of bombs on the enemy. AN ENTIRE REGIMENT CAPTURED. PRISONERS STILL COMING IN. Received 9.20. ROME, August 23. The Italian offensive has forced the Austrians to obtain reinforcements from the Eastern front, consisting of the Twelfth Division, mainly recent arrivals from Galicia. Ninecounter attacks have been repulsed near Koriti. TJie Italians took the offensive, capturing an entire regiment. Another-TjrTga.de assaulted hill s 241 and 247 at •'TeasT seven times. We prisonered thousands. The following morning we proceeded to assault the strong lines before Selo, despite determined resistance by the enemy, who abandoned almost the entire first line from the plateau to the sea on a front of nearly sixty kilometres.
