TAIHAPE SALE REPORT.

Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Utd., Palmerston North report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Taihape on Wednesday, 15th inst., when a small entry of sheep and a good' yarding of cattle was submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Bidding was spirited and all lines were dispose of under the hammer at prices satisfactory to vendors.

Sheep.—Mixed hoggets 22/, forward wethers 36/6

Cattle. —Weaner Heifers £8 2s, 2yr empty heifers £7 10s to £8 13s, empty cows £B. 10s to £9 10s, cows in calf £8 10s to £lO 10s, yearling steers £1 5s to £5 15s, 2yr, steers £lO 2s 6d, 3yr. steers £l2, £l3 10s, to £l4 7s.

The dairy herd offered on account .1. McCracken realised from £lO to £l7 os, the herd of 40 cows averaging- £l2 9s. There was keen competition for this herd of cows.
