Last week-end' the "first round of the Senior, Junior and Ladies Championships were played also A the first competition for the Bracelet. The following are the resuu|.,of the various competitions. Mrs. Neagle 61—12—49; Mrs, O'Callaghan, 66—16< —SO; Mrs. Train 66—14—52; Miss Gilmer 73—20—53; Miss Evans 73—20 —53; Miss Merritt 73—16—57; Miss Murphy 73—14—59; Miss Kennedy 75 —14—61; Mrs. Powell 77—16—61; Mrs. Bradley 77—14—63; Miss O'Callaghan SS—2o—6B.
Mrs. Neagle played sufficiently well to earn a further reduction in handicap and continues to reduce the score off the club in each successive game. Mrs O'Callaghan is playing well and with three cards handed in has the best average for the Bond Cup.' Mrs. Train is showing steady improvement and is putting up a better score on each successive competition. The Ladies' Championship will be robbed of a certain amount of interest owing to the absence from the competition of last year's champion, Miss Spooner, who would in all probability also have annexed the 1917 championship.
