HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. WELLINGTON, July 31. The High Commissioner's market Teport, dated London, July 28, is as follows: — Meat: There is no material change in prices. 'All descriptions of frozen meat continue in good demand, owing to continued small supplies. New Zealand frozen mutton is quoted SM, ewe

Argentine mutton and Argentine lamb, very scarce, lOd and lid New Zealand lamb lOd, Argentine beef, small supplies, hinds 14|d, fores 11 3-Sd Butter: All kinds are in small supply and the market continues firm No supples of Danish are available, and quotations are nominal. New Zealand salted 200 s; unsalted, 2035, Australian salted, 198 s. Argentine, unsalted, 201 s. • Irish creamery, salted, 198 s; unsalted, 201 s. Cheese: There are no quotations this •week, Hemp: The Manila market shows no change New Zealand hemp continues in good demand, especialhy for near at hand. Small sales have taken place this week. New. Zealand fair, afloat, £93. There arc sellers at £OO of New Zealand high point fair, July fo December shipment "Wheat: The demand is rather quiet, and prices show no quotable change. Oats: The market is firmer. Best quality Canadian, 645; American, G3s 6d. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following cablegram from London dated July 25: — "Tallow: We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Mutton, 65s per ewt; beef, 63s 6dmixed, 60s. There is a good demand."
