IN THE AIR.
AIR RAID ON FLANDERS. LONDON, July 30. The Admiralty reports that naval airmen on Saturday night dropped several tons of bombs on Bruges, Thourout, Middlekerke and Ghistelles, in Western Flanders, with good results, numerous explosions following. The machines returned.
LONDON PERILS. LONDON, July 30. Sir George Cave stated that 336 had been killed by air raids in London since the beginning of the war. In that time 2412 had been killed by street accidents. As the result of the air raids, 1092 had been injured, while 70,863 had been injured by accidents. BRITISH LABOUR LEADERS. LONDON, July 30. In the House of Commons to-day a question ■ elicited the announcement tha£ Mr. Arthur Henderson, a member of the Cabinet, Mr. G. J. Wardle, and Mr. Ramsay MacDonald had gone to Paris to discuss the situation with representatives of the French and Russian Labour parties. Mr. Bonar Law stated that Mr. Henderson went in his capacity as secretary of the Labour party. The arrangements were settled without the Government's knowledge. Asked why the Government had not interfered, Mr. B'onar Law said that the only way to interfere would have been to refuse passports, which the Government did not think desirable.
