THREE STARS The picture entitled “The Scarlet Woman” which is to be shown at the Three Stars to-night is probably one of the strongest features and the best vehicle ever provided for.. the famous Russian actress, Olga Petrova and in the character of a scarlet woman she rises to the supreme demand on her histrionic ability. The story is an extremely interesting one, and shows the terrible danger besetting a beautiful woman, stirred by grief and intense emotion. To save a worthless husband ±rom prison, or even death, she is asked to. pay the greatest price a woman can pay, and, with the vision of her husband before her, she pays, only to incur her husband’s anger and contempt, and is ultimately divorced. “Life is not the thing we planned it,” and the primrose path leads to the “ scarlet road of shame, until the love of a true strong man comqs into her life, and, in spite of the past and the efforts of those who would keep her down, the woman wins out to happiness and peace.
