The Land Board met on Thursday, afternoon. The Commissioner of Crown Lands, Mr. M’Clure, presided.
APPLICATION FOR LAND. Temporary permits under Section 130: Sections and 2 Mangaweka North Township, 2 roods 23 perches; Rose E. Moore; annual rent, £l. Block XII., Kaitieke S.D., 7 acres; Hannah Beechy annual rental £2 2s.
Permit to occupy under Section 27 of the Public Reserves, etc., Act, 1909; Section 1, Block 11, Kakahi Township, 1 rood 12 perches, temporary permits; George Crump; annual rent £1 10s. TRANSFERS. The following were approved: W. M. Fraser to R. and E. M. Fraser, section 6, Makohine Y.S., 7 acres 0 roods 36 perches; E. E. Howe to F. T. Paget, Section 4, Block Y., Mangaweka Town, 1 rood; B. McNeill to W. J. Menary, Section 18, Block XIII, Managhao S.D., 200 acres; W. A_ Boyce to S. Perrett. Section 11, Block XV, Hautapu, 196 acres 1 rood 16 perches, M. Poole to H. K. Section 1, Block IX, Kaitieke S.D., 962 acres 2 roods, C. E. and P. M. Way. Section 9, Block Y. Hautapu, S.D., 163 acres, D. Fitzgerald, Section, Block IV., Retatuke, S.D., 791 acres 2 roods 35 perches J. McLean Section 7. Block IV., Tiriraukawa S.D., 200 acres; Edith L. Burr, Section 5, Block VII., Tiriraukawa 8.D., 200 acres; Edith-L. Burr, Section 13, Block IV., Tirirauawa, 100 acres, Edith L. Burr. MISCELLANEOUS. Mr. W. Stephens, who has been granted a permit to occupy Section 1, Blocks X and 1., Karioi S. D., 374 acres inquired whether he could be compensated for improvements or allowed to plough up such areas as may be agreed upon. It was resolved to advise him that no compensation would be allowed for any improvements that may be effected, and if cropping rights are given an enhanced rental will be required. The following proposal for the expenditure of thirds was approved in terms of the rangers’ recommenda-
tions: Upper Wanagehu Road Board, £270 Is Sd.
