The Crown Prince writes: "May our U-boats ever victoriously fly our flagon all seas and compel others to respect it as the ultima ratio reguni." Hiudenburg says: "The U-boats perform their office. That is enough." Mackensen says: "The U-boats spell England's death." Von Tirpitz's contribution is: "We must beware of dangerous optimism, especially as the enemy is distinguished for his stubborness and is employing anti-submarine measures, but we will reach our goal if v.e continue with the submarines, for the decision of tfc war rests on tonnage."
