FOOTBALL NOTES

On Saturday last a football match was played on the Recreation Ground between a team from Ohingaiti and: the Pirates. To even up the sides, the Taihape team loaned Chase, and Wilson to the other side. These were th e best players against fhe Taihape team, which would otherwise have won by a big margin. The game ended in a draw, three Jfointa each, Ohingaiti getting a goal and McDermot scoring for Ta% P e. Mr W. Burrell made an efficient referee. . •
