CHURCH OF ENGLAND BAZAAR.
| The people of Utiku and their friends -had a well-deserved success at the Bazaar on Thursday last. The nett proceeds were just about £45,. which will be nearly enough to extinguish the whole of the existing debt. All worked well together under the capable leadership of the secretary,, and many hands made light work. Mrs. Totman, in a very neat speech declared the Bazaar to be open. She was presented with a' very fine bouquet made by Mrs. Parr. Mr. Pike Potaka-was a great asset, to the function, both in generous giving and as an auctioneer. We regret very much to hear of Mrs C. O. Gibbs sad loss since then. She was a host in herself at the B'azaar. Following were the stall holders and their takings:—Plain sewing, £9 9s, Mrs Farr anff Hamilton; fancy stall, £9 Is, Mrs. Randolph; sweets, £6 11s, Mesdames Gibbs'and Eyes; produce, £5 19s, Mesßames Arnott and Bland; bran tubs, £4 Bs, Misg Maughan; tea r.ooriis' £2 16s, Mrs. Hebberd and Miss Venables; sideshows, £1 ss; sheep £2 19s; dance, 7/6.
