A SINN FEINERS’ VICTORY. Aif' EXCELLENTLY OrfGfANISED CAMPAIGN. ■ Jfco NATIONALIST SEAT IS SAFE. Received 11.40. LONDON, July 12. The Sinn Feiners’ campaign was excellently organised. Devalera had plenty of motor cars, speakers and canvassers, large number of Roman Catholic priests assisted, and there was much money from America. It is believed, from a German source. Pessimists among the Redmondists says the election shows no Nationalist seat is now safe outside of the city of Dublin. Recent elections prove that large numbers of the younger Irishmen have revolted against the Nationalist party machine. This feature of the present situation is most alarming to Unionists. There is an apparent breawdown ih'The discipline pf the Roman Catholic Church'many teachers in schools propagating revolutionary "doctrines without any discouragement from the priests, and the Bishops’ recent instructions iMo the clergy have been completely ignored.
SINN FEINER WINS EAST CLARE * LONDON, July 11. The East Clare bye-election resulted: —Devalera (Sinn Feiner) 5010; Lynch (Nationalist) 2034. The result is considered seriot&s from the point of view of Ireland’s future.
