EXPORT OF PRODUCE.
THREE MONTHS' SHIPPING. WELLINGTON, July 10. A further statement regarding facilities for the shipment of produce was made in the House of Representativegf to-day by the Prime Minister." "Arrangements have now been made," said Mr. Massey, "by which between now and the end of September, 17 large insulated meat-carrying steamers will come to this country to load. (Applause.) Of course, members will understand that even 17 ships will not carry away the whole of the frozen produce in the stores at present, but it will make it possible for the newseason's production to be commenced and carried on without any difficulty. I think we may take it for granted that the ships will not stop coming at the end of September. I hope and believe they will be able to come after that, so the outlook is'very much better than it has been for the last six months. Mr. John Anstey (Waitaki): How many carcases does that represent? Mr. Massey: The ships will hold nearly 100,000 carcases each. Mr. Anstey: They will take some butter as well? Mr. Massey: Of course, butter will count. The information about the ten ships coming in September is that they will average 100,000 carcases. Of the seven ships to come before that time I eannot say much.
