LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS. WELLINGTON, July 10. The High Commissioner’s market report, dated London July 7, is as follows (quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spat; — Meat.—Lower. Prices are being accepted for home killed mutton and beef (mutilated word here). New Zealand and Australian lamb released, by order of the Government, for consumption of the general public. New Zealand mutton, 8 7-8 d; ewe mutton 81 d. Argem tine lamb, lid; Argentine beef, hinds 12Id; forces 9fd. Butter. —The maximum prices remain unchanged. The market continues firm. Danish, 208/- to 212/; New Zealand salted, 198/ to 200/; unsalted, 178/ to 200/. Australian salted, 192/- to 191/-; unsalted, .192/ to 191/. Irish creamery salted, 196/-. Argentine, no quotation, no supplies available.
Cheese.— No maximum prices are fixed, except English Cheddar at 130/no official quotations.
Hemp.—The Manilla market is very firm. The output for the 15th to 30th June is 53,000 bales. No change in prices. The New Zealand hemp market is quiet but steady. Nominal quotation: New Zealand good fair to £9O 10/-; high-point fair to ‘£B9 10s; fair to £BB 10/- (shipment as early as possible.) •' ' Wheat.—The market is quiet, but steady. B'ut little business is being done. Prices are unchanged. Oats. The market is quiet and prices are slightly weaker. Canadian, 63/6; American, 62/-.
