BARON'S DEADLY PENCILS.

BOMBS AND BACILLI FOUND. An amazing collection of bcmbs, poisons, and deadly bacilli lias been seized as part of the baggage of Baron von~ Boson, a Swedish nobleman, and alleged German agent. The baron fled to Norway after his activities had aroused the Swedish authorities. He was arrested, but, s?.s he could not be convicted of violated Norwegian law, he was released with a warning to leave the country. Baron von Bosen 's field of operations were along the Swedish-Finnish border. His purpose is supposed to have been the destruction of Kussian food and munition storehouses, but what success he had is not known. When he fled from Sweden last Jannary part of his luggage was seized by the Swedish authorities and * found to contain a large quantity of high explosives, packed in tin cans marked "corned beef."

In his baggage the police here found cans of explosives marked 'table salt,' ljottles marked "mouth wash" containing cultures of bacilli; boxes of lump Sugar each lump concealed a small glass vial filled with bacilli of anthrax or glanders, and explosive pencils. This latter article is an ingenerious infernal machine. It has the appearance of art ordinary pencil, but if it is sharpened, a drop of acid concealed in a thin glass tube is released and. acting on other concealed chemicals, causes an explosion sufficient to maim or perhaps k!ll the sharpener. Between Finland and the Norwegian town of Narvik, a tremendous tide of r.v7"'""iclij» flows into Eussia. Between 2000 and 3000 horses are used for freighting goods.
