A very enjoyable social was held in the Methodist Church last night, where there was a goodly number present. The socTS! was "organised by the members of the bible class and choir to raise money to pay off the debt on the organ. Rev. Mr. Fordyce occupied the chair, and the evening was very pleasurably spent in games, songs, and recitations, and refreshments provided by the ladies of the congregation were handed round. Mrs. Missen, Mrs. Chapman, and 'Mr. Murray contributed vocal numbers, and recitations were given by Mrs. Chapman, Mrs. Cole, and Mr. Fordyce. Misses Missen and Darvill rendered a duet, and Miss Missen a piano solo.
